Job summary

Howard University is seeking a Business Process Improvement Manager to act as an internal consultant, partnering with academic and administrative units to redesign processes and standardize operations. You will eliminate inefficiencies and improve service delivery while guiding change across the university.

The role requires leading cross-functional teams, facilitating discovery sessions, and developing requirements and SOPs.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in a related field with at least three years of process improvement experience.
• Experience redesigning processes across complex organizations.
• Knowledge of Lean, BPM, or similar frameworks.
• Experience leading sessions, gathering requirements, and engaging stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead business process analysis, redesign, and improvement initiatives across units to increase efficiency.
• Facilitate discovery sessions, interviews, and mapping to identify opportunities.
• Develop requirements, SOPs, and process documentation to support enterprise initiatives.
• Collaborate with leadership and vendors to implement improvements aligned with priorities.
• Monitor KPIs and drive continuous improvement across the organization.
