Job summary

Howard University’s Faculty Practice Plan seeks a Strategic Initiatives Manager who partners with the CEO and COO to drive organizational priorities, manage strategic projects, and coordinate cross‑department initiatives with executive leadership.

This role provides executive support, prepares leadership materials and presentations, tracks milestones and KPIs, schedules meetings, and coordinates communications with internal teams and external partners in a fast‑paced academic healthcare

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent experience considered.
• 2-5 years of administrative, operations, or executive support experience.
• Experience supporting senior leaders, physicians, or department leadership preferred.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, Excel).

Responsibilities

• Coordinate planning, execution, and monitoring of strategic initiatives and special projects sponsored by the CEO.
• Provide high-level administrative and operational support to the CEO, including calendar and meeting management.
• Serve as a liaison between clinical, operational, and administrative leaders to implement executive decisions.
• Develop project timelines, tracking mechanisms, and status updates for leadership.
