Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent hands-on experience.
• 3–5 years of purchasing/procurement experience within print manufacturing, commercial printing, or paper packaging.
• Deep understanding of paper grades and print/packaging processes.
• ERP/MRP systems experience (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) for inventory management and PO creation.
• Strong vendor negotiation and relationship-building skills.
• Familiarity with FSC/SFI/PEFC certifications.
• Advanced Excel for data analysis and cost modeling.

Responsibilities

• Strategic Sourcing & Supplier Management for paper mills, brokers, and printers.
• Review specs to select optimal paper stocks for equipment and runs.
• Manage procurement for litho-lamination, flexographic, digital, and gravure processes.
• Collaborate with QA to resolve defects and downtime issues.
• Analyze schedules to forecast paper demand and maintain JIT inventory.
• Monitor pulp/paper market trends and capacity constraints to manage price volatility.
