Responsibilities include assessing risks, sourcing cost-effective purchases, and building supply base relationships to ensure timely availability of paper, inks and supplies.

The role requires 3-5 years of commercial print paper buying experience and strong negotiation skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3-5 years of commercial print paper buying experience.
• Good knowledge of a variety of paper grades, weights and finishes.
• Commercial print estimating experience a plus.
• Proven negotiation skills and track record of cost out initiatives.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, multi-tasking, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, lead and execute purchasing strategies for the company nationwide.
• Assess, manage and mitigate purchasing risks.
• Search for cost-effective purchases and develop new supply base relationships.
• Purchase paper, inks and supplies needed for print production with focus on commercial print paper buying.
• Work within the print schedule to ensure products meet production deadlines.
• Research material sourcing opportunities and analyze alternatives for existing materials.
• Collaborate with vendors on pricing and lead times.
• Update and maintain spreadsheets and tracking information.
• Inventory management.
