Smurfit Westrock is seeking a Pre-Pricing Specialist in New Jersey to guide pricing for new and existing customers and products. You will lead strategic pricing efforts, develop item estimates, manage quotes, and collaborate cross-functionally to maximize profitability.

Responsibilities

• Determine pricing and value of offerings using market intelligence and pricing strategies.
• Partner with Sales to complement skillsets to reach company goals.
• Monitor external pricing trends and internal systems for inputs in decisions.
• Develop and utilize pricing tools to respond to changing market needs.
• Analyze prices in current portfolio for margin and quality.
• Act as control point for data accuracy in quotes and estimates.
• Manage and process RFQs from customers.
• Understand manufacturing processes and equipment and limitations.
• Create new item cost estimates and adjust pricing for changes in specs.
• Review pricing proposals for accuracy and customer specs.
• Oversee price change processes and price record updates.
• Identify and execute margin improvement opportunities.
• Collaborate with Sales and other departments to improve margin.
• Track margin initiatives and their impact on bottom line.
• Streamline administrative tasks and seek improvements.
