Job summary

Spot Freight, Inc. is seeking a Pricing Analyst to prepare proposals, price RFQs, and review submissions from sales and product teams. You will gather insights with account leaders and subject matter experts to ensure an accurate, competitive Spot Experience.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years in 3PL/brokerage, FTL across dry van, reefer, and flatbed, and strong data skills in SQL/Python/R. This is an on-site Chicago role with competitive compensation and benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree required.
• 3-5 years of proven experience, including 3 years in the 3PL/brokerage industry.
• FTL experience across dry van, reefer, and flatbed; understanding mode & equipment impacts pricing.

Responsibilities

• Partner with sales leaders to manage the RFQ and proposal process.
• Utilize Spots pricing models & market intelligence to support pricing decisions.
• Develop proposal pricing rates based on contract length/scope.
• Prepare and assure quality of financial information in bid packages.
• Perform post-bid analysis and track win/loss and pricing competitiveness.
• Collaborate with data science to improve pricing models and tools.
• Drive understanding of revenue, margin, and cost drivers in freight.
