Spot Freight, Inc. is seeking a Pricing Analyst to support RFQ pricing and proposal development. You will work with sales leaders to leverage pricing models and market intelligence, ensuring accurate, competitive quotes.

The role emphasizes data-driven pricing decisions, post-bid analysis, and collaboration with data science to enhance pricing tools and processes. On-site in Chicago with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Industry experience and detail-oriented approach when engaging internal stakeholders.
• FTL experience across dry van, reefer, and flatbed, with focus on rate and capacity dynamics.
• Leverage market rate intelligence and lane benchmarks to test pricing assumptions.
• Strong project management and high level of organization.
• Bachelor's degree holder.
• 3–5 years of proven experience, including 3 years in the 3PL/brokerage industry.
• Ability to manage large data sets and cross-reference data sources to draw conclusions.
• Strong ability to persuade, motivate, and influence others.

Responsibilities

• Partner with sales leaders and Account Managers to manage RFQ and proposal process.
• Utilize Spot's pricing models, market intelligence, and analytical tools to support pricing decisions.
• Develop proposal pricing rates based on contract length and scope.
• Prepare, integrate, and assure quality of financial information in bid packages.
• Perform post-bid analysis on win/loss trends and pricing competitiveness.
• Collaborate with data science to improve pricing models and data products.
• Coordinate process improvements to ensure business requirement compliance.
• Drive understanding of revenue, margin, and cost drivers in freight channels.
