Job summary

Spot Freight, a Chicago-based logistics marketplace, is seeking a Pricing Analyst to support RFQ pricing and proposals. You will work with sales, product, and account leaders to price submissions, develop rates, and ensure accuracy across financials.

You will leverage pricing models, market intelligence, and data tools to inform decisions, manage large data sets, and drive revenue and margin insights for freight channels. This role is on-site in Chicago.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 3-5 years of proven experience, including 3 years in the 3PL/brokerage industry.
• Experience leading pricing for RFQs and proposals.
• Ability to manage large data sets and cross-reference multiple data sources.
• Familiarity with market rate intelligence and lane benchmarks.
• Strong project management, organizational, and persuasive skills.

Responsibilities

• Partner with sales leaders and Account Managers to manage RFQ and proposal process.
• Utilize pricing models, market intelligence, and analytical tools to support pricing decisions.
• Develop proposal pricing rates based on contract length and scope.
• Prepare and assure quality of financial information in customer bid reviews.
• Perform post-bid analysis and track win/loss trends and pricing competitiveness.
• Collaborate with data science to improve pricing models and decision-support tools.
• Coordinate development and improvement of processes to ensure compliance with business requirements.
• Drive understanding of revenue, margin, and cost drivers in freight channels.
