Job summary

Abbott Construction in Nashville, TN seeks a senior Estimating and Planning Leader to oversee estimating and planning support personnel, monitor budgets and buy-out, and ensure reliable cost information for estimates.

The role includes driving business development, developing proposals, responding to RFQs, and coordinating with marketing and executives to deliver profitable projects while mentoring the estimating team.

Qualifications

• BS in Construction Management, Marketing and/or Communication or equivalent.
• 3–5 years of construction-related experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Ability to read and interpret business documents.
• Ability to travel if required.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership for estimating and planning support personnel.
• Monitor project budgeting and buy-out processes to ensure reliable information for estimates.
• Facilitate communication of cost history for better cost modeling and estimating.
• Interface with marketing to ensure consideration of relevant information and brand.
• Assist in evaluation, planning and execution of new scope of services and profit centers.
• Oversee all sales activities, including pre-qualifying leads and developing proposals.
• Represent Abbott Construction in the community and engage with executives and clients.
