STO Building Group is seeking a Senior Estimator in Nashville to manage and assist in compiling estimates for diverse projects, ensuring cost accuracy and responsiveness to Owner requirements. This role reports to the SBU Executive or Chief Estimator and requires leadership in preconstruction and close collaboration with architects and clients.

The successful candidate will provide estimates across all design stages, utilize bid strategies, and drive value through design and lifecycle cost

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or construction field or equivalent education and experience.
• 5+ years estimating commercial construction (hard-bid, design-build, conceptual).
• Knowledge of construction systems including mechanical and electrical.
• Experience with estimating across design stages: conceptual to construction documents.
• Familiarity with Target Value Design and industry estimating software.

Responsabilités

• Champions 'The Layton Way' delivering predictable outcomes for teams, owners and customers.
• Prepares estimates and supplementary information for potential projects.
• Interprets contract documents and offers value engineering and lifecycle options.
• Performs quantity take-offs, pricing and information analysis.
• Leads preconstruction efforts with architects and owners.
• Solicits bids from subcontractors and suppliers and maintains contacts.
• Attends owner meetings during estimate development.
• Prepares detailed schedules for proposed projects.
• Initiates and guides special estimating projects.
• Presents pricing strategies during interviews and client meetings.
