Job summary

Abbott Construction in Seattle, WA is seeking a Preconstruction Manager to lead or support preconstruction activities across multiple projects from RFQ to construction readiness.

This strategic role focuses on mitigating risk and maximizing value during design and preconstruction phases, coordinating with VP of Acquisition, Director of Preconstruction, and Project Executives to meet project goals and proactive scheduling.

Qualifications

• BS in Construction Management, Marketing and/or Communication or related field or equivalent experience.
• Three to five years of construction-related experience in a preconstruction role within the broader industry.
• Must be able to read, analyze, and interpret general business materials and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Champion the importance of preconstruction and collaboration across teams.
• Track monthly status of preconstruction projects and report to senior leadership.
• Audit preconstruction projects to verify activities, needs, and risks.
• Maintain proactive communication across project teams, clients, and design teams.
• Lead transitions from preconstruction to construction with aligned risk, margin, schedule, and manpower.
