STO Building Group in Seattle, WA seeks a Preconstruction Manager to lead or support preconstruction efforts across multiple projects from pursuit through construction start. This high-level role focuses on mitigating risk and maximizing value during design and preconstruction, coordinating with senior leaders and project teams.

The incumbent will mentor teams in Target Value Delivery, drive proposals, and support cost estimate reviews while maintaining strong client and design team

Formación

• BS in Construction Management, Marketing and/or Communication or related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Three to five years of construction-related experience in a preconstruction role, with over 10 years in the construction industry overall.
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and government regulations.
• Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals.
• Superior communication and presentation skills.
• Must be able to pass a drug test and background check
• Capable of communicating effectively in English both verbally and in writing
• Knowledge of all aspects of the construction process
• Must have a strong work ethic, sense of urgency, organizational skills, task oriented
• Must be willing to travel if required

Responsabilidades

• Champion the importance of preconstruction and collaboration.
• Track status of preconstruction projects and report to the Director of Preconstruction and VP of Acquisition.
• Audit projects in preconstruction to verify status, needs, and risks.
• Maintain proactive communication across project teams, clients, and design teams.
• Ensure alignment of risks, margin, schedule, and manpower during transition to construction.
• Develop win strategies for project pursuits and issues within preconstruction.
• Mentor teams on preconstruction best practices and Target Value Delivery principles.
• Attend OAC meetings and business development events.
• Provide conceptual estimates and support Chief Estimator with historical data collection.
