Job summary

IMS Care Center in Phoenix-area Avondale is seeking a Practice Manager for its Multispecialty Clinic. You will lead the division's workflow, performance and staffing to ensure expert care, excellent customer service and optimal physician productivity.

Reporting to the COO or VP of Operations, you will develop strategic plans, monitor budgets and quality initiatives, and supervise providers, medical assistants and administrative staff.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration strongly preferred.
• Minimum 3-5 years' experience managing and running a healthcare facility.
• Management level experience in a clinical or hospital setting, including medical insurance, coding and reimbursement.
• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Assume overall responsibility for division employee management and staffing including providers, medical assistants, and administrative staff.
• Determine staffing standards based on patient care needs, patient flow, and procedures.
• Interview, select and hire new employees.
• Work with Human Resources to ensure compliance with state and federal requirements for clinical and non-clinical staff.
• Responsible for evaluating staff performance, developing standards and ensuring basic competencies for all staff.
• Identify potential problem areas, monitor performance, and drive quality improvement.
• Optimize staff roles to meet performance goals and oversee scheduling templates.
• Coordinate space and room assignments for providers and manage referrals.
