Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a Power Plant Planner to support maintenance and operations at a power generation facility in North Carolina. You will develop detailed work plans, coordinate with supervisors and equipment owners, ensure materials and barriers are addressed, and help keep work on schedule.

The role requires strong planning skills, reading drawings and manuals, and experience with Maximo and Primavera P6 to manage work orders and scheduling.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of power plant maintenance and/or operations experience.
• Strong experience with maintenance planning/work management.
• Strong knowledge of power generation equipment, systems, and maintenance activities.
• Experience with LOTO (Lockout/Tagout).
• Experience with Maximo or similar work management software.
• Experience with Primavera P6 or scheduling.
• Ability to read and utilize equipment drawings and technical manuals.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed maintenance job plans for power generation equipment and systems.
• Ensure plans include required labor, materials, parts, tools, equipment, and safety requirements.
• Verify materials and resources are available prior to scheduled work.
• Create and maintain work orders and job plans in Maximo or similar work management software.
• Research equipment and parts using drawings, manuals, and inventory systems.
• Create purchase requests and support equipment repair activities.
• Coordinate with supervisors and equipment owners to ensure job plans are accurate and current.
• Support scheduling of planned maintenance activities.
• Monitor planning and work execution progress and help resolve barriers.
