Job summary

Alabama Power is seeking a qualified professional to support the Contract Maintenance Department at Plant Miller. The role involves daily maintenance planning, scheduling, and coordination for multiple units, with emphasis on safety, PM administration, and procedure development.

The position requires experience with plant maintenance, outage planning, and Maximo; strong organizational and communication skills are essential. Some travel within the generation fleet may be required.

Qualifications

• Relevant industrial maintenance experience; planning and coordinating maintenance activities preferred.
• Strong knowledge of plant maintenance, outages, and operations.
• Excellent organizational, administrative, and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with Maximo or similar CMMS software is required.
• Ability to interface with vendors and contractors to represent company interests.

Responsibilities

• Incorporate safety in operations and maintenance planning for all activities.
• Coordinate with LOTO coordinators to ensure proper tagging and accurate equipment descriptions.
• Administer Maximo work orders, update records, and maintain the historical database.
• Develop and implement Maximo planning processes and production of work packages.
• Develop and maintain contract maintenance procedures and processes.
• Collaborate with contractor leadership to improve productivity and coordinate materials.
