Job summary

NRG Energy is seeking a Scheduler / Planner (Outage) with extensive maintenance planning and scheduling experience for power plant environments. The role emphasizes safety, coordination of equipment isolation, and clear communication with stakeholders.

You will develop maintenance plans, conduct outage scheduling, and drive weekly plans using Primavera P6, PasTA, MS Projects, and SAP, while guiding cross-functional teams to optimize outages and maintain production schedules.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 5 years’ experience in maintenance planning and scheduling.
• 3 years of experience with SAP or CMMS.

Responsibilities

• Promote safety by ensuring compliance with all safety rules during outages.
• Lead schedule review meetings with Engineering, Operations, and Contractors.
• Develop and draft maintenance plans (PMs) for the plant.
• Schedule outages and weekly maintenance, prioritizing plant needs.
• Determine resources and timelines using Primavera P6, PasTA, MS Projects, and SAP.
