Job summary

CIBC US is seeking a Portfolio Manager in the Specialty Finance Unit to manage a diverse portfolio of clients, collaborate with Relationship Managers, and drive new business opportunities while maintaining strong risk controls.

You will interact directly with clients to foster long-term relationships, deliver tailored financial solutions, and represent the bank at conferences and client visits, working across the bank with senior management and Credit Risk to support growth.

Responsibilities

• Oversee a portfolio of specialty finance clients with strong risk management.
• Direct client interactions to strengthen relationships and provide tailored financial solutions.
• Collaborate with Relationship Managers to identify and pursue new business opportunities.
• Partner with Diligence Team, Credit Risk Management, and senior management to support client needs and risk management.
• Represent CIBC at conferences and client visits to stay current with market trends.
