Job summary

CIBC US is seeking a Portfolio Manager in the Specialty Finance Unit to manage a diverse portfolio of clients, collaborate with Relationship Managers, and drive new business opportunities while maintaining strong risk controls.

You will interact directly with clients to foster long-term relationships, deliver tailored financial solutions, and represent the bank at conferences and client visits, working across the bank with senior management and Credit Risk to support growth.

What You’ll Be Doing

As a Portfolio Manager within CIBC’s Specialty Finance Unit, you’ll play a pivotal role in managing a portfolio of diverse specialty finance clients. You’ll collaborate closely with Relationship Managers and the Diligence Team to ensure client needs are met, while actively driving new business opportunities. Your responsibilities include direct client interactions to strengthen relationships and manage risk for the bank, as well as representing CIBC at conferences and client visits. You’ll also work across various areas of the bank, including senior management and Credit Risk Management, to support the growth and success of the Specialty Finance portfolio.

Benefits

Salary range: $135,000 – $155,000 (market‑based on experience, qualifications, and location).
