Job summary

NBH Bank seeks a Specialty Banking Portfolio Manager I to support business development and senior managers on national and regional client relationships. You will assist in underwriting, presenting deals to credit officers, and coordinating cross‑functional marketing with bank partners.

You’ll monitor portfolio performance, renewals, and credit compliance while deepening client relationships. Strong communication and credit training are key assets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 2-3+ years of relevant experience in specialty or commercial banking.
• Related specialty banking or finance experience.
• MBA or certification in the field.
• 3-5+ years of relevant experience in specialty or commercial banking.
• Industry specific credit background.
• Moody’s Risk Analyst experience.
• Completed formal credit training program.
• Strong communication, writing, and sales skills.

Responsibilities

• Support Specialty Banking business development and senior Portfolio Managers on prospecting and referrals.
• Coordinate marketing efforts with bank partners on identified prospects.
• Assist in reviewing and structuring large complex transactions and present deals to credit officers.
• Underwrite on pre-screen memos and loan presentations.
• Assist Managing Directors and Senior Portfolio Managers to deepen client relationships.
• Monitor operating performance, renewals, annual reviews, watch loan reports and credit compliance.
• Build rapport with clients, peers, and community partners while maintaining compliance with regulations.
