Job summary

CopperPoint Insurance Companies in Anchorage seeks a Product Owner - Policy Management to lead strategy, roadmap, and delivery of technology-enabled capabilities for the commercial policy lifecycle.

You will shape the product vision, guide an agile squad, and ensure capabilities align with enterprise objectives, regulatory requirements, and evolving customer expectations. This role focuses on continuous improvement and delivering customer value.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in commercial insurance (P&C) across product, operations, or technology.
• 5+ years in product ownership, product management, or equivalent leadership role.
• Deep expertise in at least one insurance domain (claims, underwriting, billing, etc.).
• Proven ability to own and deliver measurable business outcomes.
• Strong understanding of Agile delivery models and product-centric organizations.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams without direct authority.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute the squad vision, strategy, and multi-year roadmap aligned to enterprise priorities.
• Translate business strategy into objectives and measurable key results (OKRs).
• Lead an agile squad capable of adapting to market, regulatory, and performance changes.
• Own end-to-end lifecycle of product capabilities from intake to delivery and optimization.
• Ensure alignment across adjacent product domains and value streams.
• Drive customer and operational experience across journeys with high quality outcomes.
• Backlog prioritization balancing business value, risk, and compliance requirements.
• Balance feature delivery with technical debt, regulatory mandates, and stability.
• Ensure clear user stories with acceptance criteria and business value for delivery readiness.
• Serve as primary business owner and decision authority for the product.
• Collaborate with engineering, architecture, UX, and analytics to deliver scalable solutions.
• Accountable for agile delivery of compliant, scalable product capabilities.
• Influence architecture decisions for long-term scalability.
• Embed auditability, traceability, and governance in design and delivery.
• Foster a data-driven culture with analytics teams.
• Drive continuous improvement in product performance and team outcomes.
