Job summary

Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA) is seeking a Project Manager (Non-Technical) to drive strategic initiatives across the agency, enhancing customer experiences through digital services and operational improvements.

The role focuses on governance, data-informed decision making, and delivering projects on time and within budget, working with teams across the Authority to support millions of rider interactions annually.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in business/management or related field.
• Seven years of progressively responsible experience analyzing business problems and coordinating improvement projects
• Experience in developing and managing complex high-profile projects and programs

Responsibilities

• Performs a wide range of project, programs and policy development duties including detailed analyses, framing recommendations, and creating project plans.
• Oversees all aspects of a project from inception to delivery, sets deadlines, assigns responsibilities, and tracks progress.
• Develops familiarity with project objectives and coordinates viable strategic plans for assigned projects.
• Reviews executive inquiries and coordinates responses to government officials, Board of Directors, and the public.
• Assists in policy development, procedures, goals, and outreach initiatives.
• Serves as liaison between offices to ensure expeditious resolution and resource allocation.
