Job summary

Graymont Limited is seeking a Maintenance Planner/Scheduler to oversee maintenance activities at the Superior, WI plant. The role focuses on planning and scheduling work for electricians, mechanics, and contractors while aligning with safety, quality, and cost objectives.

You will collaborate with maintenance and production supervisors to develop weekly and long-term schedules, plan plant shutdowns, and ensure high standards in safety, environment, and efficiency.

Qualifications

• College or University degree in a related field plus a minimum of 5 years' experience, or Journeyman (Millwright or Electrician) with a minimum of 10+ years heavy industrial experience.
• Experience with CMMS in an industrial operation is required.
• Proven planning, prioritizing, and organizational skills.
• High level of computer skills (JDE, Excel and MS Office) and ability to learn new applications.

Responsibilities

• Plan and schedule maintenance work for electricians, mechanics, and contractors.
• Collaborate with Maintenance and Production Supervisors to develop weekly and long-term schedules and plant shutdown plans.
• Hold weekly planning/scheduling meetings to determine priorities and ensure they are met.
• Define safe work procedures, PPE, tools, and equipment to be included in work orders and PMs.
• Accurately estimate job hours by trade, parts, and resources; maintain CMMS records.
• Manage planned work order backlog and train personnel on CMMS usage.
• Control repair/maintenance costs to budget; participate in on-call rotation; promote safety and efficiency.
