Job summary

Hunt Electric Corporation is seeking a detail-oriented Planning and Scheduling Specialist to lead the creation and maintenance of detailed project schedules. You will coordinate with project managers, production, materials, purchasing and logistics to ensure alignment with the overall schedule and timely delivery.

The role requires 3–5 years of scheduling/PM experience in a production environment, with familiarity in Lean and Kanban.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Business Administration or related field or equivalent experience in Planning/Scheduling.
• 3–5 years of scheduling, project management and production experience; Lean/ Kanban preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; Microsoft Project is a plus.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; ability to host meetings.
• Attention to detail and analytical problem solving.
• Lean principles and 5S knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Develop and Maintain Schedules: Create detailed project schedules, including timelines, milestones, and deadlines using project management software.
• Coordinate with other departments: Work with project managers, production managers, materials manager, purchasing and logistics to align with the schedule.
• Monitor schedule and assist in resource allocation: Track daily progress and propose corrective actions; manage labor, tools, and equipment.
• Reporting: Share internal/external schedule updates and flag issues impacting delivery dates.
• Risk Management: Identify risks and develop mitigation strategies.
• Host project kickoff meetings and identify material purchasing opportunities.
• Continuous Improvement: Implement process improvements to scheduling efficiency.
