Job summary

Mortenson is seeking a Planning and Scheduling Manager I to lead complex project scheduling across large, multi-project environments. You will oversee CPM scheduling, coordinate site teams and trade partners, and mentor staff to ensure accurate, timely delivery of project milestones.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or Engineering and a minimum of eight years of construction scheduling experience, plus strong communication and problem-solving skills. On-site role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or equivalent field.
• Minimum of eight (8) years construction experience; or equivalent combination of training and experience.
• Advanced knowledge of scheduling concepts, principles, practices, and company software.
• Thorough knowledge of standard construction practices, project sequencing and installation methods.
• Ability to mentor and train team members in scheduling methods.
• Knowledge of project management, buyout, and contracts.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate site teams and trade partners in the development of project schedules using CPM scheduling programs on large, complex projects.
• Monitor and update project schedules across multiple projects.
• Develop mitigation options and assist management with mitigation plans for scheduling problems.
• Coach, mentor, and train other team members in scheduling methods.
• Collaborate with Business Development on proposals, including leading scheduling strategy for projects.
• Support rollout of company-wide scheduling training plans.
• Participate in planning improvements and best practice sharing.
• Build relationships across diverse backgrounds and levels.
