Job summary

Mortenson is seeking a Planning and Scheduling Manager II to lead planning and scheduling on highly complex projects, coordinating team members and processes to implement our scheduling strategy.

The role requires extensive construction scheduling experience, strong leadership, and the ability to travel as needed. Eligible for Mortenson’s incentive plan and a competitive base pay range.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field; or high school diploma with CHST, OSHA 500, and 12 years construction experience
• Minimum ten years of construction experience; project manager or superintendent background desirable
• Advanced knowledge of scheduling concepts, construction practices, project sequencing, and 4D visual planning methodologies
• Strong ability to read plans/specifications and identify concerns in reviews
• Ability to travel as required

Responsibilities

• Oversight of planning and scheduling on multiple or large complex projects
• Plan, coordinate, supervise, and direct planning and scheduling activities
• Ensure adherence to corporate planning and scheduling standards
• Generate mitigation options for scheduling problems and support site management
• Coach and train team members in scheduling methods
• Collaborate with Business Development on proposals and schedule risk identification
• Support rollout of company-wide scheduling training plans
• Lead scheduling improvement initiatives and best practices
• Build strong relationships across diverse teams
