Job summary

Mortenson is seeking an experienced Planning and Scheduling Manager to lead complex project schedules across large programs. You will coordinate site teams and trade partners, monitor multiple schedules, and drive strategy for proposals and scheduling improvements.

The role requires a strong background in construction scheduling and the ability to mentor others. The position offers growth opportunities within Mortenson’s diverse project portfolio and requires travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or equivalent field.
• Eight years of construction experience or equivalent.
• Advanced knowledge of scheduling concepts, principles, practices, and company software.
• Strong ability to read plans and specs and interpret project documents.
• Experience with cross-functional team leadership and proposal scheduling.
• Know-how of 4D visual planning methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate site teams and trade partners in the development of project schedules.
• Monitor and update schedules on multiple projects.
• Generate mitigation options and assist management with corrective plans.
• Coach and train team members in scheduling methods.
• Collaborate with Business Development on proposals and scheduling strategy.
• Support rollout of company-wide training plans.
• Participate in scheduling improvement initiatives and best practice sharing.
• Build relationships across diverse backgrounds and levels.
