Job summary

Mortenson Construction seeks an experienced Planning and Scheduling Manager to lead complex project schedules and guide cross-functional teams. You will develop scheduling strategies, monitor progress, and drive improvements across multiple projects with a focus on accuracy and confidentiality.

The role requires eight years of construction experience, a related degree, and advanced knowledge of scheduling concepts and CPM practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or equivalent field.
• Minimum eight years construction experience or equivalent.
• Advanced knowledge of scheduling concepts, principles, practices, and company software.
• Thorough knowledge of standard construction practices, project sequencing and installation methods.
• Ability to solve complex project scheduling problems with mature judgment.
• Strong plan and specification reading, review and interpretation skills.
• Knowledge of project management, buyout, and contracts.
• Working knowledge of 4D visual planning methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate site teams and trade partners in developing schedules using CPM on large, complex projects.
• Monitor and update project schedules across multiple projects.
• Generate mitigation options and assist management to plan corrective actions.
• Coach, mentor, and train other team members in scheduling methods.
• Collaborate with Business Development on proposals and scheduling strategy for pursuits.
• Support roll-out of company-wide scheduling training plans.
• Participate in corporate planning and scheduling improvements and best practice sharing.
• Build relationships across diverse backgrounds and levels.
