Job summary

Blue Shield of CA is seeking a Strategic Planning and Performance Principal to support the P&E Strategy, Analytics and Talent Acquisition mandate. You will help create and execute annual plans across operational, financial, human capital and tech domains, and report on key performance indicators.

You will drive insights for leadership, manage cross-functional financials to meet budgets, and influence strategic direction through collaboration with the P&E senior leadership team.

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor\'s degree or equivalent experience.
• Requires at least 10 years of prior relevant experience, with a focus on program and project management, financial and budget management, senior leadership-level communication (verbal and written), and interdisciplinary team, stakeholder, and initiative management.
• Ability to operate autonomously with limited oversight and think proactively to create value.
• Strategic mindset with problem-solving for complex, dynamic issues in plan execution.
• Ability to develop polished content for diverse audiences (PowerPoint decks, dashboards, reports).
• Experience with change management principles preferred.
• Strong PowerPoint, Excel, Airtable and Workday experience strongly preferred.
• Healthcare experience strongly preferred.
• Master\'s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration or similar preferred.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute P&E\'s annual functional plans (operational, financial, human capital, and tech).
• Provide high-level management of cross-functional financials to achieve budget targets.
• Anticipate upcoming initiatives and provide visibility to P&E and organizational goals.
• Drive strategic direction for P&E through engagement with the senior leadership team.
• Develop streamlined, polished content for diverse audiences (presentations, dashboards, operating plan reports).
