Job summary

HP Inc. is seeking a Strategy and Planning Principal to shape long-term and near-term priorities for Personal Systems. You will work with senior leaders to define where to play, how to win, and how to invest in growth opportunities across AI, hardware, software, and services.

You will build robust business cases and executive-ready narratives, collaborating across product, finance, and regional teams to turn strategy into actionable programs with measurable impact.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, Economics, or related field; MBA or equivalent strongly preferred.
• Typically 8–10+ years in corporate strategy, strategic planning, management consulting, or related fields.
• Experience in top-tier consulting or corporate strategy is highly desirable.
• Experience developing strategic recommendations, business cases, and executive communications.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic analyses to identify market trends, customer needs, and opportunities for Personal Systems.
• Develop recommendations on 1–5 year strategy, including where to play and how to win.
• Build data-driven business cases, long-term plans, and investment theses.
• Structure analytical approaches and executive-ready storylines for complex problems.
• Synthesize insights from market research, financial analysis, and internal data for leaders.
• Coordinate with cross-functional partners to evaluate strategic initiatives (AI, future-of-work, services, software, partnerships).
• Drive alignment to translate priorities into actionable plans and execution.
• Consult with executives on strategic planning, risk, and performance.
