Job summary

Basin Electric Power Cooperative in Bismarck, ND is seeking a Strategic Planning Administrator to coordinate and lead the design and development of BEPC's strategic management process. This role interfaces with senior management, the Board, and BEPC subsidiaries to align initiatives and track progress.

The ideal candidate has a business/finance/economics background with 8+ years in strategic/financial analysis, and possesses strong facilitation skills and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, finance, economics, or related field with 8 years of progressive responsibility in financial/strategic analysis.
• Knowledge of strategic planning and execution processes and cross-functional relationships.
• Understanding of energy-related products/services, industry trends, and key players; willingness to travel up to 10%.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate development of strategic plans with input from Senior Management and the Board of Directors.
• Integrate execution of processes to administer and track the strategic plan across functions, including Balanced Scorecards and Strategic Planning Dashboard.
• Ensure processes owned by other functions are linked to strategic initiatives set by the Board.
• Report strategic planning status to Senior Staff and the Board; stay informed on industry issues affecting the cooperative.
• Research economic/industry trends impacting BEPC and its members.
• Maintain relationships with facilities and BEPC staff to respond to industry changes; support best-in-class processes and member services.
• Contribute to BEPC's strategic planning efforts, including preparation and facilitation of planning sessions with BEPC Board and Senior Management.
• Answer member system questions and direct inquiries related to BEPC projects, power facilities, and programs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
