Job summary

Yuhaaviatam of San Manuel Nation is seeking a Planning & Development Manager to oversee multiple development projects from initiation to completion. You will drive budgeting, scheduling, risk analysis, and reporting while upholding the Tribe’s vision and values.

You’ll lead site identification through entitlement, permitting, and construction, coordinating with agencies, developers, and consultants. This role also guides long-term strategic planning and day-to-day operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Accounting, Finance, Development, Engineering or Construction Management.
• Minimum of ten (10) years of progressive responsible experience in strategic planning, portfolio management, financial analysis, feasibility studies, real estate acquisitions, leasing, entitlements, and development management.
• Related, relevant, and/or direct experience may be considered in lieu of minimum educational requirements.

Responsibilities

• Develops and maintains financial models, proformas, forecasts, and long-range plans for acquisitions, leasing, investments, and asset management.
• Leads real estate development projects from site identification through entitlement, permitting, construction and completion.
• Manages entitlement processes including General Plan amendments, zoning changes, and development agreements; evaluates opportunities.
• Identifies and pursues land, commercial, residential, and development opportunities; negotiates agreements; coordinates due diligence.
• Leads master and long-range land use plans; coordinates planning with agencies, developers, engineers and architects.
• Leads enterprise-wide financial planning, analysis, and reporting; delivers data-driven recommendations to senior leadership.
• Provides portfolio performance oversight; budgets, tracks milestones, and drives cost optimization.
• Ensures accuracy of project documentation from vendors/contractors; maintains job files and contracts.
