Job summary

University of Miami seeks a Sr. Physician & Faculty Compensation Advisor to provide end-to-end compensation consultation for physician, faculty, and advanced practice providers.

You will independently evaluate requests, conduct market analyses, develop defensible recommendations, and manage cases to resolution within a pooled service model. You will partner with directors, Legal, Compliance, and Finance, present data-driven guidance to department chairs and HR partners, and ensure alignment with

• Bachelor’s degree in relevant field required.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience required.
• Learning agility, teamwork, technical proficiency, and strong communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Manages assigned compensation requests from intake through final recommendation and resolution.
• Assesses scope, urgency, documentation, and pay policies to formulate case strategies.
• Conducts detailed analyses and communicates case status throughout the lifecycle.
• Evaluates recruitment offers and compensation packages, reviewing base pay, productivity, incentives, and supplements.
• Develops alternative compensation scenarios by assessing market competitiveness and internal comparators.
• Recommends competitive offer packages aligned with institutional standards.
• Evaluates retention requests, counteroffers and internal equity by analyzing compensation history and role scope.
• Models compensation adjustments and assesses total financial impact to propose corrective actions.
• Performs market analyses using reputable physician, faculty, and academic compensation sources.
• Presents data-driven recommendations to leaders and HR partners.
