Allegheny Health Network seeks a Pharmacy Technician to support procurement, inventory, 340B compliance, and billing processes within a hospital setting.

Responsibilities include maintaining drug inventory, processing charges and credits, assisting in performance improvement, and safely operating central fill equipment. Must complete pharmaceutical technician training and have hospital experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or GED and completion of a formal pharmacy technician training program.
• 3 years of hospital pharmacy technician experience is preferred.
• Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT) or ExCPT is required unless working in the Central Distribution Service location.
• Registration as Pharmacy Technician Trainee or Pharmacy Technician with the PA State Board is required upon hire.

Responsabilités

• Performs procurement, inventory, receiving, reverse distribution, storage, and drug distribution tasks.
• Monitors hospital medication inventory including floor stock and automated dispensing cabinet inventory.
• Participates in network supply chain purchasing and maintains purchase records, invoices, and related data.
• Administers 340B inventory processes and maintains records for 340B billing and compliance.
• Assists in monitoring the department budget and reports price changes, contract status and purchase volumes.
• Processes patient and department charges, credits, and billing information and resolves discrepancies.
• Performs pharmacy technician duties as needed and participates in compliance efforts.
• Safe operation of central fill equipment and other material handling equipment.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
