Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Completion of a formal pharmacy technician training program or equivalent experience.
• 3 years in a hospital pharmacy technician role.
• CPhT or ExCPT certification, unless located at Central Distribution Service.
• Registration as Pharmacy Technician Trainee/Pharmacy Technician with PA Board by 2026.

Responsibilities

• Procurement, inventory, receiving, and distribution of pharmaceuticals.
• Recordkeeping for recalls, returns and invoice management.
• Monitor hospital medication inventory and floor stock levels.
• Participate in 340B program compliance and billing processes.
• Assist budget monitoring and pricing change reporting.
• Process patient and department charges and credits; CDM maintenance.
• Perform pharmacy technician duties and support regulatory compliance.
• Safe operation of central fill equipment and material handling devices.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
