Qualifications

• Minimum High school diploma/GED and Pharmacy Technician Certification or ExCPT.
• Registration as Pharmacy Technician Trainee or Pharmacy Technician prior to start date.
• Preferred 1 year of pharmacy experience in respective area.

Responsibilities

• Processes medication orders including computer entry, preparation, and assembly before pharmacist check.
• Maintains pharmacy inventory and supplies per policies; inspects assigned areas; uses pharmacy computer systems.
• Provides customer service by taking prescriptions, documenting information, and handling interactions courteously.
• Outpatient Techs: validates Medicaid/Medicare/commercial coverage, addresses errors, and handles cash/deposits/reports.
• Inpatient Techs: compounds, stocks, repackages, batches from bulk meds; prepares IV orders and labels.
• Central Fill Pharmacy: safe operation of equipment (forklifts, order pickers, reach trucks, etc.).
• Other duties as assigned.
