Job summary

Airgas, Inc. is seeking a Business Performance Manager to drive the Central Division Strategy Department's initiatives, aligning cross-functional teams and delivering metrics-driven insights.

The role emphasizes strategic transformation, executive reporting, and cost-savings programs across multiple sites. Ideal candidates bring PMO experience, strong BI skills (Power BI), and a track record of communicating complex data to executive leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Supply Chain, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
• 5+ years performance management, PMO, analytics, finance, business operations or management consulting.
• Experience delivering digital transformation and/or complex BI initiatives within a decentralized, multi-site environment.
• Strong understanding in BI architecture (Power BI), data modeling, data lifecycle management, and Google Business Suite.
• Familiarity with coding languages.
• Advanced financial & operational literacy with a proven track record of identifying, targeting & capturing operating expense savings.
• Demonstrated experience in communication and presentation skills, with the ability to distill complex operational data into clear strategic narratives for groups and executive leadership across multiple formats (e.g., email, slides).
• Experience in project management and organizational skills.
• Innovative, problem-solving mindset capable of challenging the operational status quo.
• Ability to travel up to 25%.
• Candidates must have valid employment authorization in the U.S. and must not require visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate the implementation of strategic transformation projects across cross-functional teams, supporting milestone completion and deadlines.
• Thoughtfully identify operational bottlenecks and partner with department leaders to remove friction and advance project progress.
• Identify, quantify, and resolve operational waste by developing and executing cross-functional savings plans.
• Support alignment of daily purchasing best practices among applicable associates.
• Design and maintain executive-level performance dashboards that translate data into actionable insights.
• Establish standard reporting definitions and delivery cadences across the division to ensure a single version of truth.
• Build and maintain matrixed relationships across leadership to foster collaborative problem-solving.
