Job summary

The California Dental Association is seeking a People and Talent Partner to own the full cycle recruitment process, advise leaders on people decisions, and partner with managers to align talent strategies with business goals. This remote-first role supports occasional travel and in-office meetings in California.

Ideal candidates bring five-plus years in recruiting plus HR responsibilities, strong knowledge of HR laws, and excellent communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business management or equivalent job and education experience required.
• Minimum of five (5) years of progressive experience blending full-cycle recruiting with foundational HR or People responsibilities.
• Proven ability to manage the complete recruitment lifecycle independently, including scheduling, panel coordination and administrative tracking.
• Ability to switch contexts between data-driven talent selection, sensitive conversations and operational logistics.
• Experience with and working knowledge of current HR laws, practices, policies and models.
• Must be able to perform job duties independently with good judgment, diplomacy and professionalism.
• Requires computer skills, including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Own the full cycle recruitment process for a steady pipeline of year-round roles, partnering with hiring managers from intake to offer generation.
• Lead intake meetings with hiring managers to align candidate profiles and craft purposeful, evaluable job descriptions.
• Provide candid, data-driven counsel on people and leadership decisions, navigating ambiguity to influence outcomes.
