Job summary

Inova Health System in Northern Virginia is seeking a Senior Director, Practice Operations to align ambulatory priorities with service-line goals and drive care transformation across sites. You will supervise ambulatory senior managers and directors and partner with the VP Administrator on budgets, capital planning, and strategic initiatives.

The role requires 10 years in healthcare and 3 years of progressive leadership, with a Bachelor's degree; an MBA/MPH and ACHE/FACHE are preferred.

Qualifications

• 3 years of progressive management/leadership experience.
• 10 years of relevant experience in a healthcare environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in relevant field.
• ACHE certification or Fellow status (FACHE) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversees the execution of strategy in ambulatory sites with aligned priorities.
• Partners with VP Administrator on process improvement, finance and capital planning.
• Benchmarks operations and develops aligned policies for improvement.
• Identifies new business opportunities and develops business plans.
• Monitors cost reduction and impact on outcomes and patient satisfaction.
• Oversees special projects in ambulatory practice, safety, quality and growth.
• Monitors data to justify resource needs for high-quality care.
• Forecasts budgets and utilizes resources effectively.
• Represents Inova in professional organizations and shares best practices.
• Develops and maintains stakeholder relationships.
