Job summary

Inova Health System seeks a Director of Clinic Management for Pediatrics specialties in Fairfax/Ashburn. You’ll oversee outpatient practices across multiple pediatric subspecialties, manage scheduling, registration, records, budgeting, staffing and reporting to leadership.

You’ll partner with physicians and staff to drive operational excellence, maintain compliance, and optimize patient access and throughput while supporting organizational goals and patient experience.

Qualifications

• 3 years healthcare management experience.
• 5 years experience in healthcare operations in ambulatory or hospital setting.
• Bachelor’s degree in relevant field (or 4 years of experience in lieu of degree).

Responsibilities

• Actively seeks opportunities to share best practices and process improvements with peers inside and outside of Inova Health System.
• Owns front-end Revenue Cycle functions including registration, referrals/authorizations, collection at point of service.
• Builds ad-hoc and permanent teams to initiate change and drive improvements.
• Ensures accurate patient records and safe, functional equipment.
• Sets and monitors standards for Patient Access to optimize throughput and reduce wait times.
• Contributes to training of personnel, students and staff to improve service delivery.
• Communicates effectively and resolves conflicts among healthcare team members, patients and families.
• Oversees site policies to safeguard cash, checks, and other currency.
• Manages the Physician Outpatient Practice’s budget, strategy, compliance, and staffing to meet organizational goals.
