Job summary

Judi Health, LLC is seeking a Manager, Payroll to lead day-to-day payroll operations across all employee populations. You will manage a team of Payroll Analysts, partner with HR, HR Technology, Benefits, Finance, and Accounting to deliver accurate payroll services, and drive continuous improvement in payroll processes.

The role combines people leadership with hands-on payroll expertise, overseeing processing, reconciliations, audits, controls, issue resolution, and system enhancements.

Qualifications

• Graduation in accounting, finance, HR, business, or related field.
• 5+ years of progressive payroll experience, including complex payrolls.
• 2+ years of experience leading or managing payroll professionals.
• Strong knowledge of payroll processes, wage/hour laws, deductions, garnishments, and year-end processing.
• Experience with payroll systems; UKG or comparable platforms preferred.
• CPP or FPC certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of Payroll Analysts with clear priorities and feedback.
• Oversee end-to-end payroll processing to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
• Manage payroll operations: calculations, deductions, taxes, and related transactions.
• Review reconciliations, audits, and reports to resolve discrepancies before payroll.
• Establish robust payroll processes, controls, and documentation.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local wage and tax requirements.
• Oversee payroll tax administration and jurisdictional setup.
• Collaborate with HRIS to troubleshoot issues and improve automation.
• Coordinate with HR, Benefits, Finance, and Accounting to ensure data flow.
• Support payroll accounting activities, including reconciliations and GL coordination.
• Coordinate year-end payroll activities and distribution of tax documents.
• Monitor payroll metrics and trends to improve accuracy.
• Support internal and external payroll audits with documentation.
