Career Land Center, LLC is seeking a Director of Payroll to provide strategic leadership and operational oversight for enterprise payroll functions in a hybrid role. The position supports a complex multi-state environment and collaborates with HRIS and IT teams to maintain payroll systems and optimize processes.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years of progressive payroll leadership, deep Oracle Payroll experience, and a track record of multi-state payroll management in healthcare-adjacent settings.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive payroll leadership within a large, complex organization.
• Hands-on experience with Oracle Fusion Payroll and Oracle Payroll Cloud.
• Experience leading payroll teams and multi-state payroll operations.
• Experience serving as payroll SME and partnering with HRIS/IT.

Responsibilities

• Provide executive-level leadership and direction for payroll operations within a large, complex organization.
• Lead payroll teams and oversee daily payroll activities to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
• Serve as payroll business lead and SME while partnering with HRIS and IT teams.
• Support Oracle post-go-live activities, including testing, validation, enhancements, and optimization.
• Ensure payroll compliance across multiple states and maintain strong controls.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and workflow optimization.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on payroll-related initiatives.
• Promote consistent payroll practices, accuracy, and service excellence.
