Job summary

Hanwha Q CELLS is seeking a Payroll and Benefits Specialist to manage the company's payroll and employee benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life, FSA, HSA, and 401(k) plans. You will ensure timely, accurate processing and compliance with wage and hour laws.

You will set up the new payroll system, administer benefits programs for factory employees, handle audits, COBRA, enrollments, terminations, and changes, and liaison with providers to resolve issues.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required
• 5+ years of payroll, benefits, and compensation experience
• Strong payroll systems skills with Paycom/Paylocity
• Solid knowledge of benefit and compensation programs
• Strong Excel skills (Pivot Tables, V-Lookups)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent time-management and attention to detail

Responsibilities

• Oversee payroll processing to ensure accuracy and timeliness
• Set up and manage payroll system, processes, policies for the new entity
• Administer and review payroll updates for new hires, terminations, pay rate changes
• Design and manage benefits programs for employees
• Maintain payroll records and prepare reports for audits
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws
• Manage employee enrollments, COBRA, changes, and terminations
• Coordinate with benefits providers and resolve escalated issues
• Maintain HR Information System data and payroll-related documents
• Adhere to company policies and procedures
