Responsibilities include tax filings, W2 processing, audits support, HR and Accounting collaboration, and handling health/dental data files along with credit card transactions.

Qualifications

  • Associate's Degree in Accounting or related field required, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 3+ years of related experience.
  • Extensive knowledge of the payroll function including preparation, balancing, internal control, and payroll taxes.
  • Ability to multi-task and manage time effectively.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Implements, maintains, and reviews payroll processing systems for timely, accurate processing of payroll transactions.
  • Ensures timely processing of payroll updates for new hires, terminations, and pay rate changes.
  • Processes weekly payroll for office and field employees.
  • Provides assistance to Human Resources as needed.
  • Processes weekly employee expense reimbursements.
  • Files payroll taxes weekly, quarterly, and year-end, and processes W2s.
  • Facilitates audits by providing records and documentation to auditors.
  • Provides assistance to the Accounting Department.
  • Downloads and uploads data files weekly for health and dental insurance.
  • Processes company credit card transactions.
