Job summary

Amazon Payments is seeking a strategic communications leader to own the end-to-end U.S. Payments communications for the Payments organization.

You will develop and execute national campaigns, manage reactive communications, and partner with senior leaders to shape Amazon’s Payments narrative externally. You will build relationships with top-tier media in fintech and technology, advise on communications risks and opportunities, and represent Amazon as a spokesperson when needed.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional communications or public relations experience.
• Bachelor's degree is required.
• Willingness to travel up to 15% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end U.S. Payments communications strategy for the Payments organization.
• Develop and execute proactive national campaigns and announcements showcasing payments innovations.
• Manage reactive and issues-based communications including rapid response and escalation.
• Integrate Payments communications into major events like Prime Day and Holidays.
• Develop relationships with top-tier media across fintech, payments, tech, and business.
• Write and manage approvals for news releases, media advisories, and fact sheets.
