Job summary

Google is seeking a communications leader for the Commerce PR team to drive external storytelling for Payments and cross-Commerce initiatives. You will partner with executives, craft strategy, manage issues, and pitch media, creators and influencers.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
4 year of experience in public relations, media relations or communications within technology products or services.

Responsibilities

Partner closely with leaders and cross-functional partners to proactively tell positive stories about our Payments technologies and their impact, and effectively manage issues.
Support narrative development and PR strategies that showcase Payments products as providing a safe and secure way for people to pay and store everyday essentials.
Manage executive communications for Payments leaders, including developing social content and supporting thought leadership materials.
Execute cross-commerce PR campaigns, supporting PR activations around culturally relevant shopping moments to elevate awareness of Google as a shopping authority.
Ideate compelling stories and proactively pitch media and creators, using tools like internal data and consumer and industry trends to generate positive coverage for Google's commerce products.
