Job summary

CEMA Online is seeking an Associate Director of Strategic Partnerships & Special Events to lead strategic planning and execution of our signature events in support of fundraising and community engagement. The role partners with senior leaders to align events with organizational goals and to deliver high-quality experiences.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in marketing, public relations, nonprofit management or related field.
• 5–7 years of experience in event management, marketing and corporate sponsorships.
• Proven ability to plan, organize, and manage multiple events and deadlines.
• Experience building relationships with sponsors, donors, volunteers, and partners.
• Experience producing events in complex venues, managing budgets, and vendor negotiations.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic planning and execution of signature events.
• Oversee event logistics from inception to on-site execution and post-event reporting.
• Develop and manage event budgets, timelines, and vendor negotiations.
• Build and maintain relationships with supporters, donors, corporate partners, and volunteers.
• Collaborate with communications, development, and program teams on invitations, guest lists, and materials.
• Manage registration, ticketing, and post-event feedback processes.
• Travel as needed and work evenings/weekends for events.
