Job summary

Action for Boston Community Development, Inc. is seeking an Associate Director of Strategic Partnerships & Special Events in Downtown Boston.

You will lead the strategy, planning, and execution of signature events, drive fundraising through corporate partnerships, and oversee logistics from concept to post-event analysis. The role requires strong leadership, a track record of large-scale event management, and the ability to build relationships with donors, sponsors, volunteers, and community

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in marketing, public relations, nonprofit management or related field.
• Five to seven years of experience with event management, marketing and corporate sponsorships.
• Excellent planning, organizational, and project management skills with multiple concurrent events.
• Demonstrated commitment to serving Boston communities and human service programs.
• Proven success producing large- and small-scale events in person, virtual, and hybrid with budget management.

Responsibilities

• Oversee strategic development of events and annual calendar in collaboration with leadership.
• Manage logistics, vendor negotiations, on-site execution, and post-event reporting for annual events.
• Develop and manage event budgets, including tracking expenses.
• Create engagement strategies and build relationships with supporters, donors, sponsors, and volunteers.
• Oversee attendance tracking, sponsorships, VIPs, and registration processes.
• Provide research and support related to guests, sponsors, donors, and officials.
• Collaborate with Development Team to solicit and steward event-related donations and sponsorships.
• Coordinate with internal teams on invitations, guest lists, and event materials.
