Job summary

Leidos Energy is seeking a senior leader to bridge strategic planning, partnerships, and corporate development. This role reports to the Energy CFO with a dotted line to the Energy BA Leader, and focuses on proactive competitive intelligence, sourcing tuck-in acquisition targets, and building long-term relationships with target companies before transactions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 12+ years of relevant experience.
• 5+ years in corporate strategy, industry/sector consulting, or corporate development with merger and acquisition experience.

Responsibilities

• Target relationship building: identify and cultivate relationships with potential tuck-in targets and leaders well before any transaction.
• Competitive intelligence: maintain current view of utility infrastructure engineering landscape and share insights with CFO and Energy BA Leader and BD.
• Market & partnership cultivation: extend relationship-building to other market players to create future partnership opportunities.
• BA Leader partnership: align with Energy BA Leader on inorganic growth priorities and shape opportunities early.
• Collaborate with corporate M&A group: support diligence and evaluation of opportunities with Corporate Development.
• Deal support: lead the strategic and market-fit workstream during due diligence and coordinate with Finance on valuation.
• Business case development: articulate strategic rationale and market narrative; stress-test numbers with Finance.
• Integration handoff: inform structuring and pricing for post-signing integration.
