Job summary

Leidos Energy in Reston, Virginia seeks a senior strategy executive to own competitive intelligence, scout tuck-in acquisition targets, and cultivate long-term relationships with target companies and their leadership, ahead of any transaction. You will support corporate development and collaborate with BD, Finance, and integration teams.

The role requires a bachelor's degree and 12+ years in corporate strategy or development, with the ability to shape 3–5 year growth plans and build compelling

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 12+ years of relevant experience.
• 5+ years in corporate strategy, industry/sector consulting, or corporate development, with merger and acquisition experience.
• Strong knowledge of energy infrastructure markets (gas/T&D, power, automation).
• Ability to articulate investment rationale and build business cases with Finance.
• Comfortable initiating and holding relationships with target company management and owners to gain early market visibility.

Responsibilities

• Identify tuck-in acquisition targets across the energy infrastructure engineering landscape and proactively build direct, lasting relationships with leadership and owners.
• Own ongoing competitive intelligence on the utility infrastructure engineering landscape and turn that into a standing intelligence product for leadership and BD.
• Extend relationship-building to other key market players to create commercial partnership opportunities and future readiness.
• Work with the Energy BA Leader to test targets against operating priorities and growth plans and surface opportunities early.
• Collaborate with BD and Corporate Development to support due diligence, valuation, and post‑close handoff.
