Qualifications

  • At least 10 years of experience in business development, sales, strategic partnerships, or client management within the mission-critical industry.
  • Established professional network and strong reputation within the data center or broader mission-critical market.
  • Excellent relationship-building, communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to engage effectively with executive decision-makers and other senior stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and strategic planning capabilities.
  • Collaborative leadership style with accountability and teamwork.
  • Proficiency with CRM platforms and related business development tools.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a national sales and business development strategy for the mission-critical market.
  • Partner with executive leadership to identify and pursue high-value opportunities aligned with growth objectives.
  • Serve as a senior relationship manager for key clients, strengthening partnerships and identifying expanded services.
  • Lead strategic pursuits from early relationship development through proposal, presentation, negotiation, and award.
  • Mentor internal teams on pursuit planning, client engagement, and relationship development.
  • Collaborate with marketing to align proposals, messaging, and brand with market position.
  • Represent the organization at industry conferences, networking events, and client meetings.
  • Maintain CRM records and provide visibility into pipeline activity, client engagement, forecasts, and pursuit progress.
  • Monitor industry trends, competitors, and opportunities to inform market strategy.
  • Travel to client meetings, industry events, and project sites; operate a vehicle as needed.

Atlas Connections is partnering with a growing construction firm to identify an experienced Mission Critical Strategic Partnership Manager. This senior leadership position will drive strategic growth, cultivate key client relationships, and lead national business development efforts across the mission-critical market.

The Strategic Partnership Manager will help shape market strategy, manage a robust opportunity pipeline, and position the organization for long-term growth. The ideal candidate brings an established industry network, a successful record of securing new business, and the ability to build lasting partnerships with clients and internal stakeholders.

Pay: $150k-$180k annually

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute a national sales and business development strategy for the mission-critical market.
  • Partner with executive leadership to identify and pursue high-value opportunities aligned with organizational growth objectives.
  • Serve as a senior relationship manager for key clients, strengthening existing partnerships and identifying opportunities for expanded services.
  • Lead strategic pursuits from early relationship development through proposal, presentation, negotiation, and award.
  • Mentor internal teams on pursuit planning, client engagement, and relationship development.
  • Collaborate with marketing to align business development initiatives, proposals, and messaging with the organization’s brand and market position.
  • Represent the organization at industry conferences, networking events, and client meetings.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records and provide visibility into pipeline activity, client engagement, forecasts, and pursuit progress.
  • Monitor mission-critical industry trends, competitors, and emerging opportunities to inform market strategy.
  • Travel to client meetings, industry events, and project sites as needed.
  • Operate a motor vehicle on behalf of the organization as an essential function of the position.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related discipline preferred.
  • At least 10 years of experience in business development, sales, strategic partnerships, or client management within the mission-critical industry.
  • Demonstrated success achieving revenue growth targets and leading complex client pursuits.
  • Established professional network and strong reputation within the data center or broader mission-critical market.
  • Thorough understanding of mission-critical construction, project delivery, and client priorities.
  • Exceptional relationship-building, communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to engage effectively with executive decision-makers and other senior stakeholders.
